MANU
Movement & Art Director

Born and raised in the Caribbean until the age of 15, Emmanuelle Loca-Gisquet, know as Manu, is a London and Paris-based multidisciplinary artist with a focus in art direction, movement direction and creative research.

With many years of experience across the music, film and fashion industries, she currently boasts an impressive portfolio of both editorial and commercial work. Renowned for a natural approach and her cinematic vision, she draws on everyday human emotions, attitudes and body language to craft stories that inspire and connect.

Informed by her background in Political Science and Curation, Manu’s practise encompasses movement direction, creative direction and documentary photography. She explores and
discusses themes such as identity, representation, culture and vulnerability. The end result often lies within a space where the social, political and art meet and merge to tell new narratives.

Manu has worked with clients such as Hermès, Dazed, Vogue, GQ, Bose, Universal Music, Louis Vuitton, Little Simz, Common and more. In the last two years, she was also part of three group
exhibitions: Manifold (London, 2022), Manifold DELUXE (London, 2023) and Photosynthèse by Jardin Créole (Paris, 2023).
